1) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use YardWrench’s websites, profiles, and services that connect homeowners with local service providers (the “Services”). It also explains your choices—including for accounts created with Sign in with Google or Continue with Facebook.

2) Information we collect

a) You provide

  • Account details: name, email, password (if not using social login), phone, city/state.

  • Profile & business info (providers): company name, logo/photo, category, service areas, license/insurance status, staff members, availability, pricing notes.

  • Project/job content (homeowners): job descriptions, photos/videos, addresses you choose to share for service.

  • Messages & activity: inquiries, quotes, bookings, ratings/reviews, support requests.

  • Payment-related info: handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).

b) Collected automatically

  • Device & usage: IP address, browser, device type, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, time on page, interactions.

  • Cookies/SDKs: to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure site performance, and (if enabled) run basic analytics.

c) From third parties you connect

  • Google social login (OAuth): if you choose Sign in with Google, we request only basic profile scopes (openid, email, profile) to receive your Google account ID, name, email, and profile photo URL.

  • Facebook social login: if you choose Continue with Facebook, we receive your Facebook user ID, name, email (if available), and profile picture URL.

We do not request access to your Gmail/Drive/Calendar/Contacts or to Facebook Friends/Posts unless explicitly stated and approved (we don’t currently request these). YardWrench’s use of Google data complies with Google’s API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use).

3) How we use information

  • Provide the Services: create/manage accounts; enable homeowners to post projects and providers to respond; enable quotes, booking, messaging, scheduling, and invoices.

  • Profiles & listings: display provider profile information (name, business info, photos, ratings).

  • Security & fraud prevention: authenticate logins, detect misuse, protect the platform.

  • Support & communications: respond to questions; send service, security, or transactional emails.

  • Improve the platform: analytics, performance, troubleshooting, feature development.

  • Legal compliance: record keeping, dispute handling, and enforcing our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

4) When we share information

  • Service vendors/Processors: hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring—under confidentiality and data-protection terms.

  • Other users: content you intentionally publish (e.g., provider profiles, public reviews).

  • Legal/safety: to comply with law, protect rights, or respond to lawful requests.

  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer with notice where required.

5) Social login details (Google & Facebook)

Using social login is optional

You can create a YardWrench account with a password or sign in via Google or Facebook. If you use social login:

  • We store your name, email, social ID, and photo URL to create/sign in to your YardWrench account and show your name/photo where relevant (e.g., your dashboard or public provider profile if you choose to publish one).

  • We don’t post to your Google or Facebook accounts.

  • You may disconnect at any time:

    • Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party access → Manage access → Remove YardWrench

    • Facebook: facebook.com → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites → Remove YardWrench

  • If you disconnect, you can set a YardWrench password to keep access, or you can request account deletion (see Section 10).

6) Cookies & analytics

We use necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We may also use performance/analytics cookies to understand usage and improve the site. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without required cookies.

7) Data retention

We keep account and transaction records while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for security, accounting, and legal compliance. If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal data not required to be retained.

8) Your choices & rights

  • Access/Update: edit your profile details in your account or contact us.

  • Opt-out of nonessential emails: follow unsubscribe links in emails that are not transactional.

  • Disconnect social login: see Section 5.

  • Delete account: email info@yardwrench.pro from the address tied to your account with subject “Delete My Account.”

California/CPRA

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can visit our “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” page for more info and requests.

Children’s privacy

YardWrench is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

9) Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, logging). No method is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and keep them confidential.

10) Data deletion & revocation (summary)

  • Delete your YardWrench account: email info@yardwrench.pro with subject “Delete My Account.” We’ll verify ownership and process your request, subject to lawful retention.

  • Revoke social login access: remove YardWrench from your Google or Facebook account settings (see Section 5). Revoking stops new data from those services. To remove previously stored data from YardWrench, request deletion.

11) International users

If you access YardWrench from outside the U.S., you understand your data may be processed in the United States where laws may differ from those in your country.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or by email.
